Developer scales down size of proposed office building in Oakland

By Sam Spatter

Oxford Development has reduced the size of its proposed $10.8 million office building at the Pittsburgh Technology Center in Oakland from five stories to three.

The change, however, apparently won’t affect the Urban Redevelopment Authority’s sale price of $690,000 for the 1.51-acre site along Technology Drive. A vote is scheduled for Thursday on selling the building to Oxford.

Oxford must present final working drawings and evidence of financing for the project to the URA before the sale is completed.

URA still has several other parcels available for development at the Technology Center.
