As Assistant Vice President of Development, Mr. Heaton is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the 22 person development department. This includes assembling project teams for Oxford development projects and overseeing the department’s management of conceptual development proformas, due diligence evaluations, municipal approvals, design, and construction activities for both the firm’s development projects and third party development and project consulting services.
Over the course of his career, Mr. Heaton has worked on projects with total value in excess of $1 billion. Project experience includes theaters, parking garages, research laboratories, schools, hotels, warehouses, and office buildings. He is currently overseeing a planned $120 million mixed-use development in Pittsburgh’s Strip District as well as new office developments and hospital renovations.
Mr. Heaton serves on Oxford’s Strategic Planning and Business Development Committees. He is a member of the Urban Land Institute and a member of the Board of Directors of HEARTH. Mr. Heaton is a graduate of the Pennsylvania State University Architectural Engineering program and an Engineer in Training in Pennsylvania.
