As Chief Operating Officer of Oxford Development Company, David Heaton is responsible for overseeing the operations of Oxford’s Property Management, Marketing, and Investment departments, as well as Oxford Realty Services. Mr. Heaton is leading Oxford’s efforts at The Stacks at 3 Crossings, a new mixed-use development in the Strip District. The program includes multiple buildings over 10 acres, and at completion will include 600,000 SF of Office Buildings, 300 apartments, 2 public plazas, a private street, and parking for 1,000 vehicles.
As COO, he works closely with Oxford’s CEO and other executive staff to assess, define, and manage programs to facilitate corporate and personnel growth. Over the course of his 28-year career, the past 19 years with Oxford, Mr. Heaton has managed a broad array of projects including hospitality, healthcare, multi-family, office, and warehouse with values totaling over $1B.
Mr. Heaton joined Oxford in 2000 and has held the positions of increasing responsibility moving from Project Manager, to Director of Construction, to Director of Strategic Initiatives, and most recently as the Vice President of Development. He is experienced in assembling project teams, enhancing client relationships, and developing project programs and proformas to provide innovative, sustainable, and cost effective building solutions.
Mr. Heaton has a Bachelor of Architectural Engineering from Pennsylvania State University and is a member of the Urban Land Institute. Mr. Heaton is former member of the Board, and current Chair of the Building and Golf Committees for HEARTH which is a local nonprofit which works to break the cycle of poverty by providing transitional housing and skill development to homeless women and children.
