A leading cancer center, for the entire patient experience
AHN retained Oxford to provide owner's representative services for the construction of a $78.6 Million, 81,000 square foot, 3 level addition to the Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh's North Side.
Working as AHN's Representative, Oxford guided the health network through all phases of construction, up to and including the challenges surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic. While delays were inevitable due to the evolving health and safety landscape, Oxford was able to deliver the center on-budget.
The AHN Cancer Institute at Allegheny General Hospital boasts a partnership with the Johns Hopkins Sidney Kimmel Cancer Program, facilitating world-class cancer care from top experts. The Cancer Institute features three linear accelerators, one of which, the Elekta Unity Linac, is one of only five such devices in the world.
Beyond surgical care, the AHN Cancer Institute will also provide nutritional and financial counseling, social services, a salon for women undergoing treatment, and valet and family services to care for the patient in totality.
