Live your life with co-living, affordable, and market-rate units.
Helm on the Allegheny is a 219-unit, mixed-income apartment complex in Pittsburgh's thriving Strip District neighborhood, co-developed by Oxford and Steel Street Capital.
As Pittsburgh's first voluntary affordable housing program, Helm on the Allegheny contains 33 units reserved for residents making 50% and 80% of area median income. Helm on the Allegheny selected its unique and broad product mix to increase diversity across a broad socioeconomic spectrum.
Composed of co-living and traditional (i.e., studio, 1-, and 2-bedroom) apartments, Helm on the Allegheny ensures every traditional unit has views of the neighboring Allegheny River thanks to an innovative saw-tooth design.
Co-living, a newer concept in the Pittsburgh region, provides two distinct 'neighborhoods' of 32 co-living units.
Co-living tenants have access to better finishes and amenities than would be possible at a similar price point. Each unit contains a bed, private bath, and kitchenette - while the common area space provides a full chef's kitchen, game room, lounge, and co-working space.
